Komandan Raj- Character Concept

This is a character concept I created as part of my exploration into blending historical cultural aesthetics with sci-fi worldbuilding. Komandan Raj is a military commander from the planet "Cholanthus", a Star Wars-inspired world influenced by the grandeur of the Chola Dynasty from ancient Tamil Nadu, India.

His design reflects a fusion of traditional South Indian warrior aesthetics with galactic-era armor and technology. I aimed to capture a sense of nobility, discipline, and tactical strength in his posture, armor, and expressions.

This project was a deep dive into cultural storytelling through character design—merging the legacy of a powerful historical empire with the cinematic scale of the Star Wars universe.
